Tommy Lundemo (Bergische Universität Wuppertal): Deformation theory in higher log geometry
Abstract
Starting with the work of Rognes, ideas from log geometry haveseen numerous applications in stable homotopy theory in recent years. I will first introduce the most basic notions from log geometry and explain how to interpret these in terms of Quillen's approach to the cotangent complex. I will then explain how these ideas generalize to the context of higher algebra in terms of Lurie's cotangent complex formalism. An application is an "étale rigidity" result for log ring spectra.
